About me

Sue Scarre - Mindfulness Coach
My name is Sue Scarre and I'm committed to teaching both children and adults about mindfulness to enhance their overall wellbeing. It took me until 2018 before my true passion for mindfulness began to sink in and I understood all of its benefits, both in the workplace and in my personal life. I have a BA (QTS) in education and a Diploma in Mindfulness. I'm also an accredited practitioner for Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and have completed an accredited Grief & Bereavement Counselling course. I hold a current advanced-level DBS Certificate.

Over my twenty years as a teacher in primary education, I became increasingly aware of children who were experiencing stress, anxiety and low self-esteem, even as young as five and six years of age. After leaving teaching, I became interested in mindfulness and how this practice helps overall mental wellbeing, and promotes a more positive outlook. As a personal coach, I help children and adults gain the tools to enable them to stop engaging with negative thoughts and unhelpful emotions. Mindfulness helps you discover your potential and to go through life with a kind, open, and non-judgemental mindset.
I offer my coaching services and MBCBT on a one-to-one basis, and I also offer Mindfulness Training within a corporate setting. I'm based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Contact me to see how I can help.
